Frequently asked questions

Creating an account on Easylift only takes a couple of minutes. Here's how:

1. Choose your role – When you open the app, select your role as a Customer (to book rides) or a Captain (to offer rides).
2. Enter your phone number – Type in your mobile number and Email and tap "Continue."
3. Verify with OTP – You'll receive a code via WhatsApp. If you don't get it there, we'll send it to your email instead. Enter the code to confirm it's really you.
4. Complete your profile – Upload a profile picture and add your basic information: name, gender, city, and CNIC.
5. You're in! – Your account is ready. You'll land on the home screen where you can browse City Rides, City to City rides, or Monthly Rides.

On Easylift, every user is either a Passenger (also called a Customer) or a Driver (also called a Captain). Here's what each one does:

🧍 Passenger (Customer)

• Looks for rides that match where they want to go
• Post their demand by sharing timing, destination area and fare they can afford.
• Calls a Driver for seat booking.
• Can filter rides by preferences like ladies-only, gents-only, mixed, private, or shared.

🚗 Driver (Captain)

• Posts rides by sharing their route, destination area, timing, and vehicle details.
• Sets the per-seat fare and ride preferences (private/shared, ladies-only/gents-only/mixed, one-way/round-trip, one-time or recurring)
• Calls a Customer for seat confirmation.
• Can offer rides using any of the seven vehicle types (bike, rickshaw, car, 7-seat car, high roof, Hiace, coaster)

Codes are sent to WhatsApp on the phone number you entered. If WhatsApp delivery fails, we'll automatically send the code to your email instead. Make sure:

• Your phone has signal, and WhatsApp is installed and linked to the number you entered
• The number you entered is correct (no typos, no extra spaces)
• You've entered a valid email without typos, and checked your spam folder

No, currently your role (Passenger or Driver) is fixed once you choose it during sign-up and cannot be changed from within the app. If you'd like to switch roles, you'll need to create a new account with a different phone number or contact support.

Local (City Rides) — Both your pickup and drop-off are within the same city. Fare is capped at max Rs. 2,000 per seat, per day.

City to City — Your pickup and drop-off are in different cities. Fare is capped at max Rs. 15,000 per seat, per day.

Community Post — Posted into the ride pool of a community you've joined. The destination is always the community's fixed location — you don't choose it.

5. The To location is automatically set to your community's fixed location.

7. Add your fare and passenger preferences.
8. Tap Create Post.

Ride posts can't be edited once created — if something's wrong, delete it from My Posts (tap the trash icon) and post a fresh one with the correct details.

For local rides you can enter fare Rs. 2,000 per seat per day. For City to city rides you can enter fare Rs. 15,000 per seat per day. The app won't let you post above the limit for the trip type you've selected.

2. You'll see a list of all rides of your city, organized into three tabs: Today, Tomorrow, and This Week.
3. Browse the list and tap any ride to see more details.
4. Want a specific date instead? Tap the Calendar Icon to search by date directly.

2. You'll see a list of all available communities — search to find yours (or your apartment/sub-community).
3. If you're a member, you'll be able to see that community's rides.

What you'll see depends on your role:

• Captain (community member) — you'll see all rides posted by Customers in that community.
• Customer (community member) — you'll see all rides posted by Captains in that community.

Not a member yet? You'll need to join the community first. Joining costs Rs. 199 per community — if you want to join more than one community or sub-community, each one requires its own separate Rs. 199 fee.

1. From any ride list (Local, City to City, or Monthly), tap the To input at the top.
2. Select a destination — either from the map, or from the list of cities (for City to City rides).
3. The ride list updates automatically to show only rides matching your From and To locations.

💡 By default, before you set a destination, rides are shown matching your city only.

💡 Note: When you select a destination for a City to City ride, the "From" field auto-fills based on your current area or city — you can still change it manually afterward.

• A filter panel opens with these options: Passenger Type — Any, Gents Only, Ladies Only, Mixed
• Looking For — Any, Shared Ride, Private Ride
• Journey — Any, One Way, Two Way
• Vehicle Type — Any, Car, Rickshaw, Bike, Car 7 Seater, High Roof, Hiace Van, Coaster

1. By default, Any is selected for every category. You can mix and match any combination to narrow down your search.
2. Tap Apply to see the filtered results, or Clear All to reset.

💡 You can also jump straight into a filtered search from the homepage's Quick Search section — tapping an option there (like "Ladies Only" or "One Way Trip") takes you directly to City Rides with that filter already applied.

This sets who can travel on a post. Ladies Only restricts the ride to female riders, Gents Only to male riders, and Mixed allows anyone, a group, a family or others. Choose the option that matches your comfort level when posting or searching.

Shared Ride means the Driver may carry other passengers on the same trip. Private Ride means the vehicle is booked exclusively for that one passenger/group.

One Way covers a single trip from pickup to drop-off. Two Way means the Driver (or Passenger) also needs the return trip covered — useful for a daily commute where you want the same match both ways.

Yes — when posting, instead of a one-off date you can select specific weekdays (e.g. Mon/Wed/Fri) so your post represents a recurring schedule rather than a single trip.

Tap the share icon on any ride card to send a link to it — over WhatsApp, SMS, or any app you choose. Opening the link takes the other person straight to that ride inside Easylift.

1. From any ride listing, tap the Save icon on the ride card.
2. To view your saved rides, go to the Activity tab in the bottom navigation.
3. You'll see two tabs there: Saved Rides and Matching Rides.
4. Tap Saved Rides to see all the rides you've saved earlier.

Matching Rides help you find rides automatically, without having to search for them yourself.

Here's how it works: if you post a ride from Area A to Area B (say, as a Customer), and someone else — a Driver — also posts a ride from Area A to Area B, the app matches you together. You'll get a notification saying a matching ride has been found for you.

This works the same way across all ride types: City Rides, City to City, Monthly Rides, and Community Rides.

You can view all your matching rides anytime by going to the Activity tab and tapping Matching Rides — from there, you can contact the person if you're interested in their ride.

Open the ride's details and tap Call Now — this places an in-app call, so you never need to exchange phone numbers. You can also tap Interest to let the poster know you're interested; they can then reach out to you.

In-app calling is part of a monthly subscription — it also unlocks seeing who's interested in your own posts. Without an active subscription, tapping Call Now takes you straight to the subscribe screen.

Rs 299 for 30 days of unlimited in-app calling and full visibility into who's interested in your posts. You'll get a reminder as your subscription nears expiry so you can renew without interruption.

No — calls are placed entirely in-app and neither side ever sees the other's real phone number.

Once you have taken a call you can do the following.

1. If you have agreed to travel togather, you can mark this interest as complete. This confirms you were successful in making a contract.

2. After confirm, you can share or rate the app.

3. If you do not agree to travel togather, you can delete this interest. 

Once the poster accepts your interest — or you accept someone else's — it's a confirmed match. It moves out of the interest list and into the Contracts tab under Activity, alongside everyone else you're confirmed with.

From there you can still tap Call Now to reach them, or remove the match if plans change.

Choose Driver when you first sign up. There's no separate application — you start posting offers right away, and your account gets verified once you've added a vehicle.

When posting a ride offer, select your vehicle type and enter its make, model, color, and plate number. This is saved to your profile automatically, so you don't have to re-enter it on future posts.

1. Go to My Posts to see all the rides you've posted.
2. Any post with interested users shows a tag like "1 Interested" or "2 Interested."
3. Tap that card to open the full list of users interested in your ride.

💡 Note: Viewing interests and calling these users requires an active subscription — Rs. 299 for 30 days.

Our team reviews new Driver accounts after your first vehicle is registered. It usually completes within 3-5 business days.

A Community is a group of people who regularly travel to the same destination — an office, mall, or university, for example. Members post and browse rides scoped just to that community's pool, making it easier to find someone going the exact same way every day.

Tap an invite link someone shared with you, or open the Communities tab and tap a community to view it. You'll see a blurred member count until you unlock it — tap "View Community Rides" to pay the one-time fee and unlock full access.

Open the Communities tab and tap the + button. Give it a name, pick a city, and set the fixed destination everyone in the community travels to (dropped as a pin on the map). You'll get a shareable invite link to send to others — and as the creator, you're automatically unlocked, no fee required.

The one-time fee unlocks a community's member list (names and photos, instead of a blurred count) and its ride pool. Some communities are set up through a paid company partnership (like an office or mall) — those members are marked as already paid and never see this paywall.

Inside a community, the "To" field is locked to that community's destination — you only choose your pickup point. The ride is tagged to that community and only shows up in its own ride pool, not the general City Rides feed. It's also shown "city rides" style everywhere it appears, since it's always heading to one fixed, known place.

You stop seeing its rides and lose access to the member list, but rides you already posted there stay visible to the community's remaining members — leaving doesn't retract anything you've posted.

If you create a community, you earn Rs 50 for every new member who pays the Rs 199 join fee. Your share doesn't pay out per join — it's held as pending until the community reaches its member threshold (5 members by default), at which point every pending earning for that community releases at once as Released.

You can track both from More > Community Earnings.

Go to More > Community Earnings and tap Request Withdrawal. You can withdraw to EasyPaisa, JazzCash, or a bank account, with a minimum withdrawal of Rs 50.

Only your Released balance is withdrawable — pending earnings unlock once your community hits its member threshold. Once you submit a request, our team processes it by hand; you'll see its status (pending or paid) on the same screen.

1. Go to More tab.
2. Tap on Update Profile.
3. Update your name, photo, and other details.

This can't be changed directly in the app yet, since your phone number is tied to how you log in. Use "Send Us a Message" and our team will help you update it.

Go to Profile > Edit Profile and choose the account deletion option. This is permanent and removes your posts, activity, and community memberships.

Go to the More tab.

Below Update Profile, tap Manage Notifications.

• Notify me when someone is interested in my post
• Notify me when someone tries to call
• Notify me when a matching ride is found
• Notify me when a new ride is posted in a community I'm a member of
• Notify me when someone joins a community I created

Turn any toggle on or off based on your preference — all five are enabled by default.

Once you've read a notification, it clears from your notification list automatically, so it only ever shows what's new.
